Commercial Fire Systems Sales Representative

Position Overview
The main responsibility of this role is to advocate for and sell service agreements related to commercial building systems, including fire alarm, suppression, sprinkler, security, sound, communication, and inspection services. Identify client requirements and formulate sales strategies to achieve those goals. Successfully close sales to fulfill sales targets. Build and nurture strong relationships with clients. Maintain an active proposal pipeline that aligns with the sales strategy. Conduct site assessments to aid in the preparation of estimates.
Key Responsibilities
- Initiate contact with potential clients and assess their interest in service contracts through scheduled sales meetings, follow-ups on leads, and the application of defined marketing strategies.
- Analyze client needs and devise a sales approach that enhances their understanding of the company's service offerings.
- Achieve sales targets by closing sufficient deals.
- Maintain an active proposal pipeline that supports the achievement of the established sales strategy.
- Conduct site evaluations to assist in the creation of accurate estimates.
- Keep thorough and accurate records of all sales-related activities.
- Timely submit all necessary sales reports, expense accounts, competitive insights, and correspondence.
- Foster positive, ongoing relationships with clients to ensure that Johnson Controls meets their needs, promoting long-term loyalty.
- Collaborate with the service department to generate leads for service enhancements or equipment upgrades.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required:
- One to three years of sales experience in a relevant field with a demonstrable record of success.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to persuade and finalize sales.
- Capability to navigate various situations encountered during the sales process.
- Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
- Strong communication skills; must possess the ability to persuade and close sales while effectively managing diverse situations during the sales process.
Preferred:
- A bachelor’s degree in a technical or business-related field is preferred.
