Position Overview

We are looking for a highly qualified and seasoned fire alarm technician to serve the San Jose region. The ideal candidate should possess at least 5 years of experience in fire alarm programming, maintenance, and installation. Strong technical expertise along with training or certifications in Notifier, Silent Knight, Bosch, Edwards, Simplex, and similar systems is essential. A valid CA Blue card is required, and NICET certifications are advantageous. This role offers flexible scheduling options, including a traditional Monday to Friday workweek or four 10-hour shifts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Program and maintain fire alarm systems in both commercial and residential settings.
  • Provide technical assistance to project teams and clients.
  • Manage project timelines and budgets effectively.
  • Conduct site evaluations to ensure adherence to local, state, and national regulations.
  • Troubleshoot and repair fire alarm systems as needed.
  • Mentor and train junior technicians and programmers.
  • Engage in project meetings, offering technical insights to team members.


Qualifications:
  • At least 5 years of experience in fire alarm programming, service, and installation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics.
  • Familiarity with local, state, and national codes and regulations.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and dependable transportation.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and travel as required.
