Job Summary

The Medical Office Technician is a vital member of the patient care team at Lexington Medical Center. As a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA), you will provide direct and indirect patient care under the direction of a Provider. Your responsibilities will include patient support, documentation, vaccine and medication administration, clerical, environmental, and organizational tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with appointment scheduling and maintain medical record documentation in the EPIC EHR system.
  • Provide patient support as directed, including patient intake, documentation, and clerical tasks.
  • Administer vaccines and medications as directed by the Provider.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Restock supplies and equipment as needed.
  • Identify product needs and report to the appropriate person.
  • Participate in activities related to patient care, including environmental checks and patient education.
  • Record patient data and observations relevant to patient needs and in accordance with credentials.
  • Provide safety measures in accordance with office standards.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Current certification or registry in Medical Assisting.
  • Basic Life Support certification (BLS) or must obtain within 90 days of hire date.
  • Successful completion of LMC's Medical Assistant Training program and an LMC-approved Medication Administration training course within the initial probationary period.
