Fleet Operations Supervisor

As a key contributor to one of the most esteemed names in Logistics, Transportation, Fleet Maintenance, and Supply Chain Services, you will play an essential role in driving operational excellence.
Position Overview
The Fleet Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the performance of drivers within a designated region. This role focuses on coaching and guiding drivers to enhance their job performance and safety standards, ensuring a positive work environment while meeting customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage daily operations of drivers, ensuring efficient workflow.
2. Foster effective communication with drivers through phone and system interactions, promoting a positive atmosphere to enhance driver engagement and retention.
3. Monitor driver detention times and address any concerns promptly.
4. Review performance metrics and provide coaching based on observed behaviors, documenting as necessary.
5. Ensure compliance with Hours of Service regulations and address violations appropriately.
6. Track driver attendance, compensation, and overall status using company systems.
7. Lead and motivate drivers to achieve exceptional customer service and key performance indicators.
8. Collaborate with various departments to implement innovative strategies aimed at improving driver retention.
9. Oversee driver payroll and guarantee adequate home time for drivers.
10. Ensure all training requirements are met for drivers.

- Understanding of Supply Chain Management fundamentals.
Educational Background
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain preferred.
- Minimum of two years of relevant experience in logistics or a related field.
- At least two years of supervisory or leadership experience required.
Travel Requirements
10-20% travel may be necessary.
