POSITION SUMMARY:
This role is responsible for overseeing and directing the activities of electrical technicians, electricians, and apprentices within the facility. The supervisor ensures the optimal performance, maintenance, and enhancement of the electrical distribution system in place.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The key responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Guaranteeing the safe and efficient operation of the electrical distribution network, alarm systems, and communication systems throughout the facility.
- Leading the electrical team, which comprises technicians, electricians, and apprentices, ensuring they deliver necessary services to production departments and the facility as a whole.
- Developing and implementing staffing strategies, training initiatives, and promoting the apprenticeship program.

- Monitoring and managing the performance, schedules, and effectiveness of all work executed by both internal and external contractors within the plant.

- Supervising and coordinating daily maintenance needs for the entire facility by planning workloads and schedules for the electrical team.

- Assessing and evaluating future electrical upgrades, maintenance, and repair needs while detailing financial implications.
- Reviewing electrical requirements, gathering specific details, determining intervals, and executing the Preventive Maintenance Program.
- Actively engaging in energy conservation and cost-saving initiatives. Leading electrical projects within the facility.
- Specifying orders and approving maintenance materials, project supplies, replacement parts, or equipment components as necessary.
- Providing input to the Facilities Manager for the annual budget and tracking performance against the business plan. Monitoring and managing labor expenditures related to projects and departments to ensure compliance with budgetary constraints.
- Ensuring that team members adhere to all quality and safety standards and procedures.

- Conducting final inspections of all complex installations or maintenance tasks to ensure compliance with quality standards and completion to required specifications.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Business.
Minimum of 3 years of experience with electrical distribution systems in a manufacturing environment. OR

Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering or Business, actively pursuing a Bachelor's Degree, with 5+ years of experience supervising skilled electrical trades personnel and 5+ years of experience with electrical distribution systems in a manufacturing setting.

Adhere to the Environmental Policy and follow EH&S work instructions/procedures relevant to the role.
Execute all tasks safely, benefiting oneself, co-workers, contractors, and protecting facilities.

This includes utilizing required personal protective equipment and safety gear, as well as adhering to safe work practices.

Promptly report any job-related injuries or illnesses, regardless of severity, to a supervisor.
Assist in incident investigations as directed by your supervisor.
Take necessary actions to rectify or halt any unsafe conditions or practices.
Actively participate in safety meetings and training sessions.
Review Material Data Sheet instructions prior to working with any chemical products.

QUALITY ASSURANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Colleagues are accountable for their own quality and that of their peers within their span of control.
Colleagues must adhere to all established Quality procedures and guidelines.
Notify supervision for corrective actions if defects are identified and/or parts/processes do not meet specifications.
