Position Overview

The role of Field Sales Consultant is essential for driving sales and marketing initiatives aimed at enhancing profitable revenue through the establishment and nurturing of robust relationships with both new and existing clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage in the selling, marketing, and showcasing of products while effectively articulating their features and advantages.
  • Expand business opportunities by acquiring new clients and upselling additional products to current customers.
  • Work collaboratively with management, colleagues, and suppliers to strategize, monitor, and execute sales plans while exploring new market opportunities.
  • Assist clients in selecting and applying products by leveraging expertise and collaborating with internal specialists and supplier representatives.
  • Build and sustain customer relationships by understanding their operations and tailoring solutions to meet their specific goals and requirements.
  • Coordinate with clients and team members to provide product quotes and maintain ongoing communication throughout the purchasing process.
  • Address payment concerns promptly by liaising with management, credit departments, and customers.
  • Collect and relay market intelligence to management regarding competitors, pricing, and product trends.
  • Participate in professional development activities to enhance sales skills and maintain product knowledge through training sessions and seminars.
  • Keep accurate records of sales activities, including call schedules and expense reports.
  • Facilitate sales presentations with vendors to demonstrate products and identify customer needs.
  • Utilize digital tools and customer solutions to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales or the electrical industry.

  • Exhibit a positive and approachable demeanor with clients, demonstrating sensitivity to their needs.
  • Customer-focused with strong communication, presentation, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines effectively.
  • Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills, with the capability to influence decisions.
  • Essential product and application knowledge.
  • Highly self-driven and motivated.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with ERP systems and CRM tools.
  • Willingness to work overtime as necessary.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to remain stationary and walk frequently.
