Job Overview

Our esteemed non-profit partner is in search of a skilled and committed Financial Operations Manager to enhance their team. This pivotal role will involve overseeing the financial activities and ensuring compliance across the organization and its associated entities. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, the Financial Operations Manager will be instrumental in upholding precise financial documentation, managing potential risks, and guaranteeing adherence to accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger operations.
  • Establish an effective organizational framework within the finance department to meet both immediate and future objectives.
  • Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including profit and loss reports, balance sheets, and cash flow analyses.
  • Evaluate financial data and trends to offer actionable insights and recommendations aimed at enhancing financial performance.
  • Design and enforce financial controls and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and best practices.
  • Manage compliance and post-award oversight for government contracts and private grants.
  • Work collaboratively with department leaders to oversee the budgeting and forecasting process.

Qualifications:

  • Proven track record in implementing and utilizing financial systems across various platforms.
  • Expertise in project management for initiatives of varying scales.
  • Comprehensive understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Experience with payroll and accounting systems.
  • Knowledge of federal and state regulations affecting non-profit organizations.

Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of increasing financial responsibility in organizations of comparable size and complexity.
  • At least 5 years of experience in finance related to non-profits and real estate.
