Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Plant Controller in directing, supervising, and training the accounting support team.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports and data to provide insights on cost drivers and operational performance.
  • Provide timely reviews of the operation's financial status and progress in various programs and activities.
  • Supervise the maintenance of ledgers, inventory records, and related accounting reports, files, and documents.
  • Participate in capital planning and tracking of projects.
  • Assist with the annual budget process, including plant labor, overhead, product costing, and other areas.
  • Perform trend analysis and provide commentary on operational results.
  • Review cost estimates of new products and processes.
  • Partner with supply chain and warehousing to manage inventory, including cycle counting, troubleshooting, process improvement, and vendor relations.
  • Support the Plant Controller with internal and external audit requests.
  • Assist in developing departmental plans, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures.
  • Represent the company in dealings with vendors and government agencies, as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a lead or management role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in manufacturing cost accounting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with expert-level skills in Excel and PowerPoint. Knowledge of SAP or JD Edwards is preferred.
