About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team at Jobot. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining and managing our general ledger system, conducting detailed account reconciliations, and performing fund accounting activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and manage the company's general ledger system, including preparing and reviewing detailed journal entries.
  • Conduct detailed account reconciliations and analysis to ensure all transactions are accurate.
  • Perform fund accounting activities, including tracking and reporting on our financial resources.
  • Manage financial operations in a nonprofit context, understanding specific regulations and requirements.
  • Lead and participate in internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements and reports.
  • Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial processes and procedures.
  • Provide financial advice and strategic input to the management team.
  • Stay current with industry trends, latest audit best practices, and the regulatory environment.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or related field, with a focus on general ledger, reconciliation, fund accounting, nonprofit, and audit.
  • Proven experience with financial statement preparation, budgeting, and financial analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures, including GAAP.
  • Proficiency in accounting software, MS Excel, and other financial management tools.
  • Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, for interfacing with various departments and stakeholders.
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability.
