Patient Access Coordinator II

As a key member of the Cleveland Clinic team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional healthcare services. Our organization is renowned for its commitment to providing top-tier patient care and is recognized as a Magnet Hospital by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
Role Responsibilities:
In this position, you will be responsible for:
- Conducting patient registration and gathering essential information regarding demographics, insurance, and financial details.
- Cross-training to support various areas of patient access, including front desk operations, admitting office, emergency department, and cash register.
- Acting as a Super User, serving as a resource for training new team members.
- Facilitating registration and cash collection processes using Epic.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A high school diploma or GED.
- Basic knowledge of PC software applications and the ability to navigate multiple data systems.
- Familiarity with medical terminology or completion of a relevant course within one year.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- A minimum of three years of experience in a customer-facing role, or an Associate's degree that may substitute for up to one year of experience, or a Bachelor's degree that may substitute for up to two years of the stated experience.
Physical Requirements:
Candidates must be able to:
- Communicate effectively and exchange accurate information.
- Maintain a stationary position for extended periods.
- Work with physical records or operate a computer and other office equipment.
- In certain locations, travel throughout the hospital system may be required.
- Lift up to 25 lbs. in some instances.
Personal Protective Equipment:
Adherence to Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment is essential.
