POSITION TITLE: Patient Access Specialist II - Emergency Department

HOURS:

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Patient Access Specialist II plays a crucial role in managing patient registration within the emergency department. This position is responsible for accurately identifying and registering patients, ensuring compliance with EMTALA regulations. The specialist captures comprehensive and precise patient information, processes insurance details, and assigns guarantors to accounts. Additionally, they utilize bedside registration techniques to ensure patients receive timely access to necessary care.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:
A high school diploma or GED is required.

Experience:
A minimum of one (1) year of experience in healthcare registration is preferred.
