Position Overview

As a Patient Access Representative I, you will be an integral part of our Fairview Hospital team, where innovation meets compassionate care. Our facility is recognized among the best in Ohio, providing a collaborative environment where caregivers are valued and supported.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough registrations through face-to-face interviews to gather essential demographic, insurance, medical, and financial information.
  • Be cross-trained to support various areas within Patient Access, including Front Desk, Admitting Office, Emergency Department, and Cashier.
  • Maintain high standards of productivity and quality in all tasks.
  • Serve as a Super User and assist in training new team members during the rollout of new processes.
  • Utilize Epic for registration and cash collection tasks.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience: A minimum of 2 years in a customer-facing role is preferred. An Associate's degree may substitute for up to one year of experience, while a Bachelor's degree may substitute for up to two years.

Skills and Competencies

  • Ability to adapt to changing environments and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Capacity to maintain composure in high-pressure situations.

Physical Requirements

Ability to move throughout the facility, stand or sit for extended periods, and lift up to 25 pounds as necessary.
