The Role

The Senior Marketing Strategist will be responsible for planning and executing a diverse array of marketing initiatives, including direct mail campaigns, promotional materials, event marketing, and digital advertising, primarily targeting individuals aged 65 and older.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the growth and success of the Marketing department by collaboratively developing and implementing a variety of marketing strategies aligned with the overall corporate objectives and brand identity to achieve and surpass sales targets.
  • Design and execute impactful marketing campaigns by grasping the core objectives and leveraging marketing expertise; manage project teams comprising both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Oversee the creation, design, and production of marketing materials aimed at prospects, including direct mail, digital advertisements, web content, and event promotions, utilizing a deep understanding of marketing principles.
  • Ensure all marketing materials and initiatives align with the brand's visual identity and messaging by applying brand standards and professional design practices.
  • Maintain compliance of all marketing initiatives by staying informed about relevant regulations and collaborating closely with the Compliance department.
  • Manage the budget for the design, development, and production of marketing materials by communicating project responsibilities and instructions; collaborate with the Director to oversee budget management.
  • Foster collegial and collaborative relationships across all levels of the organization while adhering to HealthCHEC's core principles.
  • Actively contribute to the enhancement of business processes and marketing programs by staying attuned to market trends, engaging with the sales team, and participating in strategic planning sessions.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of seven years of experience in marketing project management, including strategy development, regulatory compliance, and production expertise.
  • At least three years of experience in developing and executing marketing programs within a membership organization (e.g., health plans, financial services) is required.
  • Experience in marketing to the 65+ demographic and/or within the Medicare Advantage sector is essential.
  • Previous experience in a marketing or advertising agency is required.
  • Familiarity with CMS regulations is necessary.
  • Strong critical thinking and interpersonal skills are required, particularly the ability to articulate a logical perspective and work effectively in a cross-functional team environment, including interactions with senior management.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks independently and simultaneously, demonstrating excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Capability to work with minimal supervision and consistently meet deadlines without compromising quality is essential.
