Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Construction Assistant Project Manager to support the Project Manager in delivering mechanical construction projects efficiently and effectively. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of relevant experience, preferably within a mechanical contracting environment.

Key Responsibilities:

The following duties are essential to this role:

  • Assist the Project Manager in ensuring that projects adhere to quality standards and are completed on schedule and within budget;
  • Work collaboratively with the Project Manager to define the full scope of work;
  • Enhance skills in reviewing technical drawings and specifications to aid in project scheduling and change order preparation;
  • Monitor project financials and labor expenses, raising any issues to the Project Manager promptly;
  • Generate and maintain comprehensive logs and reports using computer software;
  • Facilitate effective communication with the construction team and other stakeholders;
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

To excel in this position, candidates should meet the following criteria:

  • 3-5 years of experience in Construction Project Engineering or a related field, ideally with a Mechanical Contractor;
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Mechanical Engineering, or a minimum of 6 years of combined experience in Field Installation and Project Management;
  • Proven ability to fulfill essential duties effectively;
  • Experience in project scheduling, cost control, and procurement, with a solid understanding of HVAC and plumbing systems;
  • Familiarity with commercial and industrial construction processes and HVAC testing procedures;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with project management software;
  • Willingness to travel to various project sites as required.
