Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Construction Assistant Project Manager to support the Project Manager in overseeing mechanical construction initiatives across diverse markets. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in construction, particularly within the mechanical contracting sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Project Manager in ensuring that projects adhere to quality standards and are completed on schedule and within budget.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to define a comprehensive scope of work.
  • Enhance skills in reviewing technical drawings and specifications to aid in project scheduling and change order preparation.
  • Monitor project financials and labor expenditures, notifying the Project Manager of any discrepancies.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed logs and reports using computer software.
  • Facilitate effective communication with the construction team and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in Construction Project Engineering or a related field, ideally with a Mechanical Contractor.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Mechanical Engineering, or a minimum of 6 years of combined experience in field installation and project management within the mechanical industry.
  • Proven ability to manage project schedules, conduct productivity analysis, and control project costs.
  • Familiarity with HVAC and plumbing systems, as well as commercial and industrial construction processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
  • Willingness to travel to various construction sites as required.
