Media Production Supervisor

About the Role
Reporting to the EVP of Production, the Media Production Supervisor will manage the daily logistical operations directly associated with the physical and post-production duties of our modern digital media enterprise.
This role involves scheduling and overseeing Editors, Camera Operators, Assistant Editors, Coordinators, and Contractors as necessary. If you possess a passion for logistics, organization, time management, and production settings, with the ability to adapt swiftly, this position is tailored for you.
Position ResponsibilitiesSupervisory Responsibilities:
Recruit, interview, hire, and train freelance Editors, Camera Operators, and crew members.
Oversee the daily workflow of the department.
Manage and supervise all location shoots, including budgeting, crew coordination, setup, quality assurance, and invoicing. Some location shoots may involve international travel.
Oversee the daily schedules of Assistant Editors, Coordinators, Editors, and Production Assistants.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Create and manage editing schedules to ensure timely episode releases.
Oversee the Physical Production schedule and coordination.
Handle post-production purchases and editor invoices for the department.
Develop and manage workflows for production and post-production for all content required by the company.
Coordinate strategy, logistics, and asset creation/implementation across various departments.
Project manage key company initiatives related to production.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders on content strategy to develop relevant programming.
Work closely with Senior Producers and Producers across all channels.
Coordinate with the Podcast Development team for scheduling and releases.
Partner with the Marketing team for Clips, Ads, and other editorial functions.
Manage departmental expenses and budgets.
May require presence at off-site locations (occasionally international).
Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
4+ years of experience as a Production Manager.
Preferably experienced in YouTube/Podcast Production environments.
Must possess expertise in production logistics; having a network of contacts is highly advantageous for this role.
Experience with project management software/tools such as Monday or Trello.
Proven experience in leading, managing, and mentoring direct reports and vendors.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Self-motivated with the capacity to work independently.
Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate when appropriate.
Capable of functioning effectively in a fast-paced, highly dynamic environment.
Proficient in Google Suite, Adobe Suite, and relevant editing software.
Willingness to travel as necessary; a valid passport is recommended.
Ability to work at the headquarters office up to 5 days a week.
Compensation
$95,000 to $110,000, depending on experience.
