Position Overview:
The Senior Financial Analyst position plays a crucial role within the Content Strategy, Corporate Development, and Finance departments. This role is designed for a collaborative individual who will engage with various teams across the organization, gaining comprehensive insights into the business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and sustain financial models for film and television projects to evaluate acquisition, financing, production, and distribution possibilities.
- Create and manage corporate and divisional financial models to support mergers and acquisitions and strategic initiatives.
- Establish and oversee processes for maintaining internal databases and conducting relevant performance evaluations.
- Conduct various financial analyses and industry research, monitoring and compiling industry trends and performing competitive assessments to guide strategic decision-making.
- Assist in the monthly reporting and analysis for corporate and divisional financial planning.
- Support the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team in preparing Quarterly Business Reviews, Annual Operating Plans, and Long-Range Business Plans.
- Collaborate with FP&A and Accounting teams to identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and the quality of forecasts.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in investment banking, management consulting, corporate development, content strategy, or a similar analytical role; experience in media and entertainment is advantageous.
- Bachelor's degree from a reputable university (preferably in finance, business, or related fields) with a strong academic record.
- Advanced skills in financial modeling and PowerPoint presentations, with proven experience in both qualitative and quantitative analysis.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating a high level of professionalism and the ability to engage with senior management.
- A strong intellectual curiosity, eagerness to learn, and a passion for the media and entertainment industry.
- Detail-oriented with outstanding organizational abilities, capable of prioritizing and managing changing deadlines.
- Strong independent problem-solving capabilities, thriving in a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment.
Compensation:
The hiring salary range for this position is $95,000 - $105,000 annually, with starting pay dependent on various job-related factors, including market demands, experience, and education.
