Position Overview:

This position is tasked with the development and maintenance of actionable reporting tools that support various merchandising functions. You will communicate insights to cross-functional business partners to facilitate data-driven decision-making that positively influences the company's financial performance. This role is particularly focused on assisting the Vendor Management Office with initiatives such as Enhanced Category Planning (ECP) and Category Review (Assortment Optimization) projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Effectively communicate to secure alignment from cross-functional leaders.
  • Facilitate meetings across functions to support strategic objectives.
  • Assist in the annual vendor negotiation process, including joint business planning and strategic collaboration with merchandising teams and vendors to enhance sales and profitability.
  • Support the data and analytics foundation in collaboration with the merchandising analytics team, integrating it into core operational practices for merchandising and related support teams.
  • Conduct business or statistical analyses to develop data-driven recommendations that aid the company in achieving its financial targets.
  • Navigate through ambiguity in dynamic retail and wholesale environments to drive favorable business outcomes.
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Analytics, Statistics, or a related field.
  • A minimum of three years of combined experience in merchandising, data analytics, project management, or a related discipline.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with an emphasis on prioritization and attention to detail.
  • Solid mathematical aptitude, financial insight, and analytical capabilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; familiarity with Nielsen Category Management tools and purchasing systems is advantageous.
  • SQL proficiency is recommended, as interaction with the corporate data lake using Snowflake will be required.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% based on assigned categories.
Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this position, the associate is subject to a typical office environment and is rarely exposed to outside weather conditions. Temperatures may vary in specific areas such as computer/server rooms, print shops, and production areas. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate but may be high in distribution settings. Travel requirements may vary by assignment.
