Position Overview
The Senior Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst collaborates closely with executive leadership to improve the organization’s financial outcomes by aiding in the formulation of financial strategies and forecasts while delivering actionable insights to enhance financial performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enhance the efficiency of financial planning and reporting processes to provide management with analytical data for informed decision-making.
  • Gather and analyze data necessary for projecting financial outcomes, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets, ensuring sufficient detail to understand business drivers.
  • Evaluate current processes and suggest improvements to increase operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with various departments, such as Business Development and Underwriting, to ensure the timely and precise completion of financial forecasts.
  • Develop and sustain a driver-based forecasting methodology that offers management a rolling six-quarter perspective of financial performance, utilizing this framework to optimize the formal planning cycle.
  • Continuously enhance and maintain the financial planning application, striving for automation in processes.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members.
  • Integrate the planning system with all pertinent financial applications.
  • Work alongside Corporate Finance leadership to ensure the accuracy of financial data across diverse reporting systems and processes.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analyses, projects, and research as required to support business objectives.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 4-6 years of relevant experience in financial planning and analysis, particularly within the insurance sector, or a comparable combination of education and experience.
  • Professional certifications such as CPA, CFA, or MBA are advantageous.
  • Exceptional communication skills with a demonstrated ability to engage effectively with senior management.
  • Familiarity with financial planning and forecasting software, such as Essbase or Adaptive, is preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel modeling.
  • Understanding of Statutory Accounting Principles (SAP) and US GAAP.
  • Capability to investigate and resolve complex financial issues.
Compensation
The base salary range for this position is $99,000 - $116,500, with individual compensation packages tailored to each candidate's unique qualifications, experience, and skills.
