Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary client liaison alongside senior leadership, overseeing project timelines and budgets while establishing yourself as the client's main contact.
  • Direct the daily implementation of targeted public relations initiatives and campaigns.
  • Develop and execute a proactive media relations strategy to achieve earned media coverage for clients.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members in their professional development.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and news to capitalize on opportunities for client media exposure.
  • Craft comprehensive public relations strategy documents that integrate earned, owned, and paid media tactics, objectives, and pitching strategies.
  • Plan and facilitate press trips and events on behalf of clients.
  • Anticipate challenges and provide effective solutions during program execution.
  • Build and maintain strong media relationships, keeping abreast of changes within the media landscape.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, contributing to proposals and presentations.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a public relations agency, specifically with travel and/or consumer brands.
  • A Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, or marketing is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Previous experience with luxury brands is highly desirable.
  • Proven success in managing external programs, including media relations, social media, and thought leadership initiatives.
  • Strong familiarity with and connections to leading mainstream media outlets across business, lifestyle, consumer, travel, and podcast sectors.
  • A demonstrated history of securing media coverage for clients in national travel, hospitality, and lifestyle publications, along with established relationships with relevant media contacts and influencers.
  • Excellent project management, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities, including editing proficiency.
  • Experience with tools such as Meltwater, Cision, Muckrack, Creator IQ, and Infegy is a plus.

Compensation: The salary range for this position is $75,000 – $90,000 annually, based on experience and location.
