- Develop and execute a proactive media relations strategy to secure earned media coverage for clients.
- Mentor and guide junior team members to foster their professional growth.
- Stay informed on industry trends and news opportunities to enhance clients' media presence.
- Create comprehensive public relations strategy documents that incorporate various tactics, objectives, and pitching angles.
- Organize and lead press trips and events to promote client interests.
- Proactively identify and resolve potential challenges during program execution.
- Build and maintain strong media relationships to ensure effective communication on behalf of clients.
- Identify new business opportunities, participate in proposal development, and deliver presentations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a public relations agency, particularly with travel and consumer brands.
- A Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, or marketing is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Prior experience with luxury brands is highly desirable.
- Proven success in managing external programs, including media relations and social media strategies.
- Strong connections with leading mainstream media outlets across business, lifestyle, consumer, travel, and podcast sectors.
- Demonstrated ability to secure media coverage for clients in national travel, hospitality, and lifestyle publications, along with established relationships with key media contacts and influencers.
- Excellent project management, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including proficiency in editing.
- Familiarity with tools such as Meltwater, Cision, Muckrack, Creator IQ, and Infegy is a plus.
