Position Summary:
The Sales Associate plays a crucial role in the success of a Sur La Table location by engaging and inspiring customers throughout their shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Deliver an outstanding customer experience by adhering to service standards and proactively assisting customers to identify their needs and recommend products.
2. Maintain comprehensive product knowledge and seek additional training resources to enhance customer interactions.
3. Collaborate with a high-performing team to meet and exceed store sales objectives while striving to achieve personal sales targets.
4. Share information about product offerings and services, including gift registries and cooking classes, and demonstrate products as requested.
5. Follow all company policies and standard operating procedures diligently.
6. Ensure a clean and organized store environment, including all customer areas.
7. Accurately process various transactions through the POS system, including sales, returns, and price checks.
8. Uphold pricing integrity and manage inventory replenishment according to visual merchandising standards.
9. Maintain accurate records of hours worked in compliance with company policy.
10. Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills with customers and team members.
11. Safeguard the well-being of customers, employees, and company assets by reporting any safety concerns to management.
12. Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Essential Skills:
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain stationary for extended periods and move throughout the store.
- Physical capability to lift and move merchandise weighing up to 35 lbs.
- Flexibility to work varied schedules, including evenings and weekends.
- Proficiency in operating computers and POS systems.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of retail sales experience preferred.
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
- Familiarity with POS systems is advantageous.
