Role Overview: The Sales Associate position is crucial to the overall effectiveness and success of the store. This role requires a strong commitment to our brand values while delivering exceptional service to our customers and driving sales results. You will be responsible for maintaining Coach's Service and Selling Models, ensuring a positive first impression, and fostering ongoing customer relationships through personalized experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Floor:
    • Aligns decisions with organizational goals and priorities.
    • Takes ownership of personal and store performance metrics, creating strategies in collaboration with management.
    • Develops both short- and long-term plans to meet personal sales objectives.
    • Implements strategies to enhance personal survey results and address areas for improvement.
    • Acts as a brand ambassador for Coach.
    • Consistently demonstrates Coach's Selling and Service standards.
    • Adapts to local market changes that may influence business performance.
    • Utilizes sales strategies and clienteling to drive business and maintain productive customer relationships.
    • Maintains a professional appearance that aligns with Coach's Guide to Style.
    • Builds trust as a fashion advisor through strong product knowledge and awareness of competitors.
    • Communicates product features effectively to enhance sales.
    • Cross-sells and recommends complementary products based on customer needs.
    • Observes customer cues to tailor the shopping experience.
    • Handles multiple customers efficiently and follows up to close sales.
    • Adjusts personal selling techniques to contribute to overall store performance.
    • Fosters lasting relationships with customers.
    • Utilizes Coach's tools and technology to enhance clienteling efforts.
    • Promotes a shared vision and mission among the team.
    • Encourages a collaborative selling environment.
    • Maintains adaptability to changing business needs.
    • Welcomes constructive feedback and adjusts behaviors accordingly.
    • Exhibits professionalism at all times.
  • Operational Excellence:
    • Completes daily operational tasks while upholding service standards.
    • Maintains the store environment, including sales floor and backroom, in accordance with Coach standards.
    • Ensures a clean and organized selling area.
    • Adheres to retail policies and procedures, including POS and Asset Protection protocols.
    • Restocks inventory on the sales floor as required.
    • Supports inventory processes by managing shipments and maintaining organization.
    • Assists at the cash wrap when necessary to process transactions.
    • Efficiently handles customer transactions, including purchases and returns.

Qualifications:

Experience: 1-3 years of sales experience, preferably in a luxury retail environment, with a solid understanding of fashion trends and market competition.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent; a college degree is preferred.

Technical Skills: Familiarity with cash register systems and basic computer skills, including the use of mobile devices and internet navigation.

Physical Requirements: Ability to work at a fast pace, communicate effectively, and navigate the sales floor and stockroom, including lifting up to 50 pounds.

Schedule Flexibility: Must be able to meet scheduling expectations, including availability for nights, weekends, and holidays during peak retail periods.
