About the Role

The Consortium, Inc. is seeking an experienced Outside Software and Services Sales Representative to join our dynamic sales team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying and acquiring new clients, as well as nurturing and expanding relationships with existing clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prospecting and Lead Generation: Conduct cold calls and prospecting activities to generate leads and identify new business opportunities.
  • Sales Strategy and Planning: Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve sales targets and revenue goals.
  • Sales Pipeline Management: Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline by qualifying leads, conducting product demonstrations, and closing deals.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with marketing and product teams to develop sales collateral and promotional materials, and conduct client visits and presentations to showcase products and services and address client needs and concerns.
  • Customer Service and Support: Provide exceptional customer service and support throughout the sales process, from initial contact to post-sale account management.
  • Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders within client organizations.
  • Industry Knowledge and Trends: Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to effectively position offerings in the market.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and deliver accurate sales forecasts, reports, and presentations to management.
  • Industry Events and Networking: Participate in industry events, conferences, and trade shows to network with potential clients and partners.
Additional Duties
  • Cross-Selling and Upselling: Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities within existing client accounts.
  • Internal Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams, including sales engineers, customer success managers, and technical support staff, to ensure seamless delivery of products and services.
  • Feedback and Insights: Provide feedback and insights to inform product development, marketing strategies, and sales initiatives.
  • Product Knowledge: Stay up to date on product features, updates, and enhancements to effectively communicate value propositions to clients.
  • Company Policies and Procedures: Adhere to company policies, procedures, and ethical standards always.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in outside sales, with a proven track record of success in selling cybersecurity software and services.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts, technologies, and industry trends.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Relationship Building: Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Results-Oriented Mindset: Proactive, results-oriented mindset with a drive to exceed sales targets and quotas.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel as needed for client meetings, presentations, and industry events.
