Job Summary

**Job Title:** Crop Protection Sales Representative

**Job Type:** Full-time

**Location:** Eastern Nebraska

We're seeking a highly motivated and experienced Crop Protection Sales Representative to join our team in Eastern Nebraska. As a key member of our District Sales team, you will be responsible for maximizing sales and market share within your territory, developing strong business relationships with customers, and ensuring their satisfaction with Syngenta products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Meet or exceed district sales and profitability targets and objectives by achieving sales, profit, and market share targets with channel partners, key producers, and other customers within the assigned territory.
  • Develop and maintain strong and trusted relationships with customers in assigned territory, acting as the primary liaison for all channel partners and retail accounts.
  • Partner with Seed Care and AgriEdge Specialists to develop territory opportunities and create demand at the customer level, ensuring that customers are knowledgeable about our products and have further interest in Syngenta solutions.
  • Manage operational budget, variable selling expenses, and marketing funds within Commercial Unit/District guidelines, and relay accurate forecasting for customers within territory.
  • May act as the primary contact for Key Account personnel within their territory.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Marketing, and/or Science.
  • 2 years of relevant experience in agronomy, farm, retail within the crop protection or seed industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish meaningful and impactful relationships with customers and internal colleagues through excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Solid business acumen and ability to understand business financials and price/volume relationships.
  • 65%-75% weekly travel within territory is required.
  • Must have a valid Driver's License.
Preferred Requirements
  • Knowledge of agronomics, general cropping practices, agricultural technology, and trends, and requirements for pest control.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Syngenta and competitive products.
  • Strong negotiating, analytical, problem-solving/decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work independently, strong planning, organization, and time management.
  • Awareness of new and existing technologies.
  • First-hand knowledge of farming is a definite asset.
