Position Overview:
The role involves welcoming patients, staff, and visitors with professionalism and warmth.
Key Responsibilities:
Core Duties
1. Warmly greets patients, employees, and visitors to ensure a positive experience and respond effectively to inquiries.
2. Offers guidance and information regarding the location of clinical services, administrative meetings, and other general inquiries, ensuring clear communication to help customers reach their destinations.
3. Collaborates with Emergency Department personnel for incoming surgical patients, assisting with necessary forms and notifying surgical teams of waiting patients.
4. Provides transportation support for patients and their families at the main entrance, assisting them to the registration area.
5. Manages general communication tasks, including handling phone messages and maintaining informational materials such as maps and patient guides, ensuring clarity in responding to requests.
6. Undertakes additional tasks as assigned, fostering teamwork and positively contributing to the training of new employees by supporting the implementation of new procedures and enhancing service delivery.
Work Schedule:
This position typically involves 18 hours per week, structured as three six-hour shifts during the afternoon and evening, with occasional weekend shifts as needed.
Qualifications:
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Candidates with significant progress toward a diploma or relevant experience in customer service may be considered.
- Minimum age of 16 years.
- Participation in mandatory training and continuing education as required by policies and procedures.
- Prior experience in customer service and familiarity with medical terminology is preferred.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to effectively address customer needs.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
- Proficiency in computer usage is required.
- Capability to assist and escort patients and visitors to appropriate locations.
- Ability to communicate effectively through barriers as needed.

Physical Activity
Activities include:
- Occasional tasks (1%-33%): Balancing, Carrying, Lifting, Standing, Walking, etc.
