Position Overview:
This role involves reviewing grant applications and awards for accuracy and completeness, ensuring compliance with reporting requirements, and monitoring submissions to federal agencies. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of our financial processes.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough reviews of grant applications and awards.
- Establish a coding structure in our accounting system to ensure compliance.
- Develop financial statements and reports in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) standards.
- Compile and analyze data for financial reports and reimbursement requests.
- Assist in updating processes and policies as we transition to a new financial system.

Essential Skills:
- Accounting Principles: Strong knowledge of accounting standards and practices, including double-entry and accrual accounting.
- Communication: Ability to convey information effectively to various audiences, both orally and in writing.
- Self-Management: Demonstrated initiative and commitment to completing tasks efficiently and independently.
- Team Collaboration: Foster a spirit of cooperation and teamwork to achieve common goals.
- Customer Service: Anticipate and meet the needs of internal and external stakeholders with high-quality service.

- Attention to Detail: Thoroughness in performing work and focus on accuracy.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with at least 12 credit hours in accounting or finance.
- 2-4 years of experience with Microsoft Excel and Access, and a solid understanding of GAAP.
