Position Overview

The role of a Managing Partner at Outback Steakhouse is a pivotal one, requiring comprehensive expertise in all operational aspects of the restaurant, both front and back of house. This position demands a hands-on approach, with a significant portion of your time dedicated to engaging with staff and customers alike.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee employee management to uphold high standards consistent with the Outback brand, including recruitment, training, performance evaluation, and disciplinary actions as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure all necessary documentation is completed.
  • Ensure optimal staffing levels and comprehensive training for all team members in their respective roles.
  • Address customer complaints effectively, aiming to convert dissatisfied patrons into loyal guests.
  • Develop strategies to enhance sales, profitability, and customer traffic.
  • Guarantee that all menu items are prepared according to established recipes and presented to Outback's standards.
  • Adhere to company policies and service levels to boost sales while minimizing expenses.
  • Estimate food requirements and place orders in accordance with established protocols.
  • Manage the Profit and Loss (P&L) for the restaurant.
  • Enforce safety, sanitation, and regulatory compliance across the restaurant and its premises.
  • Ensure strict adherence to operational standards and practices with unwavering commitment.
  • Oversee all administrative tasks, including cash management and compliance with governmental regulations.
  • Promote Outback's Principles and Beliefs consistently among staff.
  • Engage actively with the community, representing the restaurant at local events and organizations.
  • Exhibit high ethical standards in all dealings, in line with the company's Code of Ethics.

Qualifications

As a Managing Partner, you should be reliable, self-sufficient, and passionate about delivering exceptional food and service. A winning personality combined with professional dedication and a collaborative spirit is essential. Strong organizational, time-management, and prioritization skills are critical for success in this role.

  • Ability to provide necessary investment for periodic bonuses at the restaurant.
  • At least 2 years of experience as a general manager in a hospitality setting.
  • Eligibility to obtain a state liquor license.
  • Willingness to work in both front-of-house and back-of-house operations.
  • Successful completion of Management Assessment testing.
  • Availability for a flexible work schedule.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.
  • Minimum age of 21 years.
  • Previous experience as a front-of-house manager is preferred.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, particularly MS Office Suite and Outlook, is preferred.
  • Experience with Point Of Sale systems is preferred.
