Key Responsibilities
- Overseeing staff to uphold high employment quality standards that align with the Outback Brand, including recruitment, training, coaching, promotions, and disciplinary actions as necessary.
- Maintaining accurate employee records and ensuring all necessary documentation is complete.
- Ensuring optimal staffing levels and comprehensive training for all employees in their respective roles.
- Addressing customer complaints effectively, aiming to convert dissatisfied patrons into loyal guests.
- Creating strategies to enhance sales, profitability, and customer footfall.
- Guaranteeing that all menu items are prepared according to established recipes and that presentation meets Outback standards.
- Adhering to company policies and service levels to maximize sales while minimizing expenses.
- Estimating food requirements and placing orders in accordance with established guidelines.
- Managing the profit and loss for the restaurant.
- Enforcing safety and sanitation practices, as well as ensuring compliance with maintenance and regulatory standards across the restaurant.
- Upholding operational standards and basics with unwavering commitment and enthusiasm.
- Supervising all administrative functions of the restaurant, including cash management and compliance with guest liability and workers' compensation reporting.
- Ensuring that Outback's Principles and Beliefs are consistently taught and implemented.
- Engaging actively with the community and maintaining a strong presence at local events and organizations.
- Exemplifying high ethical standards at all times, in accordance with the Company's Code of Ethics.
Qualifications
As a Managing Partner (Proprietor), you should be reliable, self-sufficient, and passionate about exceptional food and customer service. A combination of a charismatic personality, professional commitment, and a collaborative spirit is essential. Strong organizational, time-management, and prioritization skills are also crucial for success in this role.
- Ability to provide a required investment for periodic bonuses at your assigned restaurant.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a general manager in a hospitality setting.
- Qualification to obtain a state liquor license.
- Willingness to work in both front-of-house and back-of-house environments.
- A passing score in Management Assessment testing.
- Flexibility to work a varied schedule.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
- Minimum age of 21 years.
- Previous experience as a front-of-house manager is preferred.
- An Associate's or Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Proficiency in computer applications, particularly MS Office Suite and Outlook, is preferred.
- Experience with Point Of Sale systems is preferred.
