About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Manager to lead our food service operations at Middleton Place. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our restaurant, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management: Supervise and direct a team of staff, including cooks, servers, and hosts/hostesses, to ensure seamless service delivery and high-quality food preparation.
  • Customer Service: Foster a positive and welcoming environment for guests, responding promptly to their needs and concerns.
  • Food Quality and Safety: Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and safety, adhering to health and sanitation regulations.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels, ordering supplies, and managing cash handling and reconciliation procedures.
  • Marketing and Sales: Develop and implement marketing strategies to drive sales growth, including menu planning, pricing, and promotions.
  • Staff Development: Provide training and coaching to staff members to enhance their skills and knowledge, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
  • Financial Management: Monitor and control expenses, manage budgets, and analyze financial reports to inform business decisions.
Requirements
  • Experience: 3+ years of front-of-the-house operations experience and/or experience as an assistant manager in the service or food and beverage industry.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in hospitality, business, or related field preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and leadership skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Certifications: ServSafe certification or equivalent required.
