Position Overview:
As a pivotal member of The Auto Club Group, the Retail Sales Assistant Manager plays a crucial role in enhancing sales and service performance across various product lines within the designated area.

Key Responsibilities:


1. Collaborate with the Retail Sales Leader to drive the achievement of sales and service objectives across all ACG offerings within the assigned territory.

2. Formulate and implement daily operational plans to ensure effective branch functionality.

3. Assist in crafting, executing, and evaluating annual operational strategies and growth initiatives.

4. Support the achievement of agency, product, revenue, and service targets for designated retail locations by mentoring and developing agents and branch personnel.

5. Analyze local sales environments and execute business strategies aimed at fostering, protecting, and diversifying relationships with existing and prospective clients.

6. Aid the Retail Sales Leader in managing staffing levels and ensuring a net gain for all roles within the assigned area.

7. Maintain a comprehensive understanding of all company policies and operational procedures.

8. Engage in ACG's Field Leadership Development Program, completing all required training within the specified timeframe.

9. Cultivate relationships and collaborate with business partners to enhance understanding of available products and services.

10. Stay informed about regulatory changes that may impact sales and service delivery.

11. Partner with Human Resources and other relevant departments to onboard new sales agents and customer service representatives.

12. Conduct site visits to connect with agents and address training, operational, and sales requirements.

13. Provide insights and guidance on the dynamics of assigned insurance or travel products/services.

14. Mentor agents regarding compensation, bonuses, and sales excellence opportunities.

15. Collaborate with agents to identify and nurture cross-selling opportunities.

16. Evaluate sales activities of assigned agents to pinpoint areas for improvement.

17. Utilize lead management tools, marketing resources, and activity reports to develop and refine action plans.

18. Ensure compliance with established processes and procedures by assigned agents and locations.

19. Communicate any issues or concerns to the Retail Sales Leader.

20. Oversee or coordinate various operational activities as needed.

21. Liaise with Field Controls, Audit, and other departments involved in monitoring field operations.

22. Address customer appeasements and resolve other issues as necessary.

23. Stay updated on community activities, trends, and competitive landscapes.

24. Support various product and membership promotional initiatives to meet sales objectives.

25. Provide on-site assistance for local events and activities.

26. Initiate, develop, execute, and monitor assigned projects.

27. Maintain project documentation and periodically update management on progress.

Qualifications:
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid State Driver's License
- Current or ability to obtain appropriate State Property & Casualty licenses
- May require attainment of appropriate State Life Sales licenses

Experience:
- Minimum of two years in a Property and Casualty field operations setting.

Knowledge:
- Understanding of captive agent insurance sales channel operations
- Familiarity with insurance and financial products, services, and regulations
- Proficiency in sales techniques and delivery systems

Skills:
- Ability to set sales goals for agents/sales staff
- Competence in coaching, mentoring, and performance management
- Capability to assist in achieving customer retention and satisfaction targets
- Proficient in handling customer appeasements and resolving issues
- Participation in company-approved training programs
- Effective communication skills to convey complex information clearly

Preferred Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Marketing, or a related field

Experience:
- Leadership experience in motivating and developing sales and service teams.

Knowledge and Skills:
- Familiarity with The Auto Club Group's products and services
- Expertise in sales techniques and coaching retail personnel

Work Environment:
- Operate in a temperature-controlled office setting
- Extensive travel required with exposure to road hazards
- Willingness to work irregular hours
