Position Overview
Sells residential lawn care services to both new and existing clients through direct in-person engagement. This role involves training and guiding other sales representatives while ensuring sales targets are met or exceeded.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engages in direct sales of residential lawn care services via door-to-door methods using a personal vehicle.
  • Conducts thorough lawn assessments, identifies issues, and recommends suitable solutions.
  • Calculates pricing based on measurements and branch pricing guidelines.
  • Offers tailored lawn care services, including weed management, fertilization, and pest control, to meet weekly sales objectives.
  • Follows up on leads through personal interactions to ascertain customer needs.
  • Negotiates pricing, closes sales, and provides support to new sales representatives.
  • Assists the Branch Sales Manager with sales tracking, scheduling, and lead management.
  • Aims to meet established Key Performance Indicators for the role.

Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Two to three years of experience in outside sales required; senior-level or lead sales experience preferred.
  • Certifications as mandated by local regulations.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record are essential.
  • Completion of Horticulture and Pest Control Certifications is required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and company-specific software.
  • Ability to lead and influence team members.
  • General understanding of the industry and company products/services.
  • Knowledge of effective training methods for new sales representatives.
  • Strong mathematical skills for pricing and commission calculations.
  • Ability to identify and assess potential sales opportunities.
  • Demonstrated success in building and leading a sales team.
  • Willingness to travel locally as needed.
