Reporting to: Regional Manager or Medical Vice President

Position Overview:

The Lead Clinician at LaserAway is essential in delivering outstanding aesthetic dermatological services across our clinics. This role collaborates closely with the Location Director, Medical Regional Supervisor, and other leadership members to ensure that all clinicians are proficient in the services offered. Together, the Lead Clinician and Location Director cultivate a vibrant and positive atmosphere in each clinic.

The Lead Clinician exemplifies superior patient care and serves as a role model for fellow clinicians.

They uphold a high standard of customer service and patient care.

Collaboration with the remote medical team is crucial for addressing patient inquiries promptly.

Team Morale and Cooperation

Partners with the Location Director to nurture a strong relationship between medical and sales/management teams.

Regular assessments of clinic morale are conducted through feedback collection and open dialogue with staff.

The Lead Clinician and Location Director engage with the Human Resources Business Partner to review clinic morale and identify improvement areas.

Recognizes the demands of a busy patient schedule and ensures the in-clinic teams work cohesively to deliver exceptional treatments and service.

Weekly meetings with the Location Director focus on Key Performance Indicators, including:

  • Total revenue and revenue per service type.
  • Same store sales growth.

Clinical Management

The Lead Clinician collaborates with the Location Director to ensure the team is accountable for room turnover, organization of clinical supplies, accurate inventory management, and optimizing clinic operations.

Maintains a positive attitude and assists sales teams with upselling.

Monitors adverse reactions and follows up with patients until care is complete.

Addresses inventory discrepancies and oversees clinician utilization and staffing requirements.

Participates in interviewing clinician candidates with the Location Director.

Handles patient satisfaction and follow-ups on concerns.

Oversees repair requests for the location (including machine repairs, facilities, IT) and collaborates with the regional laser engineer for machine maintenance.

Training and Development

Works alongside the Regional Training Team and Scheduling Team to fulfill training requirements for all clinicians in the clinic.

Willingness to travel to other clinics for training support within the region is essential.

Identifies training needs and communicates them to the regional supervisor.

Essential Qualifications:

Associate's degree is mandatory; a Bachelor's or advanced degree is preferred.

Must possess a valid certification or license as a Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP), or Physician Assistant (PA) in the relevant state(s).

Preferably one year of experience in aesthetic dermatology or as a charge nurse.

Strong understanding of medical aesthetics treatments and protocols.

Exceptional leadership and team-building capabilities, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.

Proficient problem-solving and decision-making skills in a dynamic environment.

Strong organizational abilities and adeptness at managing multiple priorities.

Familiarity with Google Suite and clinic management software is required.

Weekend availability is necessary.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:

Proficient coordination when operating aesthetic devices and administering injectables.

Ability to perceive and differentiate colors effectively.

Capable of bending, sitting, standing, and walking independently.

Ability to remain stationary for approximately 50% of the time, which may involve sitting or standing.

Can hold laser and device handpieces weighing up to 1.5 pounds for extended periods.

Can lift equipment weighing up to 8 pounds.

Primarily works in air-conditioned treatment rooms with occasional noise.

Comfortable wearing protective eyewear for extended periods and tolerating flashing lights.

Frequently moves devices on wheels across short distances, requiring a pushing and pulling force of up to 35 pounds.

Compensation: Hourly rate is $65/hr with an additional weekend differential of $5/hr for Saturday and Sunday shifts.
