Position Overview:

The Lead Clinician at LaserAway is instrumental in delivering outstanding aesthetic dermatological services across our clinics. Collaborating closely with the Location Director, Medical Regional Supervisor, and the broader leadership team, the Lead Clinician ensures that all clinical staff are proficient in the services offered. Together with the Location Director, they cultivate a vibrant and dynamic atmosphere in each clinic.

The Lead Clinician exemplifies superior patient care standards and serves as a role model for fellow clinicians.

They uphold a commitment to exceptional customer service and patient care.

In partnership with the remote medical team, they address patient inquiries promptly.

Team Morale and Collaboration

Working alongside the Location Director, the Lead Clinician promotes a positive relationship between medical and sales/management teams.

They routinely assess clinic morale through feedback collection and open dialogue with staff.

Regular meetings with the Human Resources Business Partner focus on clinic morale and improvement opportunities.

Understanding the demands of a busy schedule, the Lead Clinician encourages teamwork to deliver exceptional treatments and customer service.

Weekly discussions with the Location Director cover Key Performance Indicators, including:

  • Overall revenue and revenue per service type.
  • Same store sales growth.

Clinical Operations

The Lead Clinician collaborates with the Location Director to ensure accountability among the team for room turnover, organization of clinical supplies, inventory accuracy, and clinic efficiency.

They maintain a positive attitude and assist sales teams with upselling.

Monitoring adverse reactions and ensuring regular patient follow-ups until care is complete is essential.

They manage inventory discrepancies and pay close attention to clinician utilization and staffing requirements.

In collaboration with the Location Director, they participate in the interview process for clinician candidates.

They address patient satisfaction and follow up on patient concerns.

Monitoring repair requests for their location (including Machine Repairs, Facilities, IT) and coordinating with the regional laser engineer for machine maintenance is part of their responsibilities.

Training and Development

The Lead Clinician works with the Regional Training Team and Scheduling Team to ensure all clinicians complete required training.

Willingness to travel to other clinics for training support within their region is expected.

They identify training needs and communicate these to the regional supervisor.

Qualifications:

A minimum of an Associate's degree is required; a Bachelor's or advanced degree is preferred.

A valid certification or license as a Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP), or Physician Assistant (PA) in the relevant state(s) is necessary.

Preferred Experience:

At least one year of experience in aesthetic dermatology or as a charge nurse.

Comprehensive knowledge of medical aesthetics treatments and protocols.

Exceptional leadership and team-building capabilities, with a talent for motivating and inspiring others.

Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent organizational abilities and the capacity to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Proficiency in Google Suite and familiarity with clinic management software.

Weekend availability is required.

Physical Requirements:

Proficient coordination when operating aesthetic devices and administering injectables.

Ability to perceive and differentiate colors accurately.

Capability to bend, sit, stand, and walk independently.

Ability to remain stationary for approximately 50% of the time, which may involve sitting or standing.

Capacity to hold laser and device handpieces weighing up to 1.5 pounds for extended periods.

Ability to lift equipment weighing up to 8 pounds.

Primarily works in air-conditioned treatment rooms with occasional ambient noise.

Comfortable wearing protective eyewear for extended periods and tolerating flashing lights.

Frequently moves devices on wheels across short distances, requiring a pushing and pulling force of up to 35 pounds.

Compensation: Hourly rate is $65/hr with an additional weekend differential of $5/hr for Saturday and Sunday shifts.
