Position Overview:

The Lead Clinician at LaserAway is essential in delivering outstanding aesthetic dermatological services across our clinics. Collaborating closely with the Location Director, Medical Regional Supervisor, and other key leadership members, the Lead Clinician ensures that all clinicians are proficiently trained in the services offered at LaserAway. Together with the Location Director, the Lead Clinician cultivates a vibrant and dynamic atmosphere in each clinic.

The Lead Clinician exemplifies superior patient care according to established protocols and serves as a role model for fellow clinicians.

Demonstrating a commitment to exceptional customer service and patient care is paramount.

Engages with the remote medical team to address patient concerns promptly.

Clinic Culture and Teamwork

Partners with the Location Director to nurture a positive relationship between medical and sales/management teams.

Regularly assesses clinic morale by soliciting feedback and fostering open communication with staff.

The Lead Clinician and Location Director conduct regular meetings with the Human Resources Business Partner to discuss clinic morale and identify areas for improvement.

Recognizes the demands of a busy patient schedule and emphasizes teamwork to deliver exceptional treatments and customer service.

Meets weekly with the Location Director to review Key Performance Indicators, including:

  • Total revenue and revenue per service type.
  • Same store sales growth.

Clinical Management

Collaborates with the Location Director to ensure accountability among the team for room turnover, organization of clinical supplies, accurate inventory management, and optimizing clinic workflow.

Maintains a positive attitude and assists sales teams with upselling.

Monitors adverse reactions and ensures regular follow-up with patients until care is concluded.

Addresses inventory discrepancies effectively.

Maintains awareness of clinician utilization and staffing requirements.

Assists the Location Director in interviewing clinician candidates.

Handles patient satisfaction and follow-up on patient concerns.

Monitors repair requests for the clinic (including Machine Repairs, Facilities, IT) and collaborates with the regional laser engineer for machine maintenance.

Training and Development

Works alongside the Regional Training Team and Scheduling Team to fulfill training requirements for all clinicians in the clinic.

Willingness to travel to other clinics for training support within the region is essential.

Identifies training needs and communicates them to the regional supervisor.

Essential Qualifications:

Associate's degree is mandatory; a Bachelor's or advanced degree is preferred.

Valid certification or license as a Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP), or Physician Assistant (PA) in the applicable state(s).

Preferably one year of experience in aesthetic dermatology or one year of experience as a charge nurse.

Strong understanding of medical aesthetics treatments and protocols.

Excellent leadership and team-building capabilities, with a talent for motivating and inspiring others.

Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment.

Strong organizational abilities and adeptness at managing multiple priorities.

Proficient in Google Suite and familiar with clinic management software.

Weekend availability is required.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:

Proficient eye-hand-foot coordination when operating aesthetic devices and administering injectables.

Ability to perceive and differentiate colors effectively.

Capable of bending, sitting, standing, and walking without assistance.

Ability to remain stationary for approximately 50% of the time, which may involve sitting or standing.

Can hold laser and device handpieces weighing up to 1.5 pounds for extended periods of 90 minutes or more.

Can lift equipment weighing up to 8 pounds.

Primarily works in air-conditioned treatment rooms where occasional beeping noises may be present.

Comfortable wearing protective eyewear for prolonged periods and tolerating flashing lights.

Frequently moves devices on wheels across short distances within treatment rooms, requiring a pushing and pulling force of up to 35 pounds.

Compensation: Hourly Rate is $65/hr with an additional weekend differential of $5/hr for shifts on Saturdays and Sundays.
