Position Overview:
The Lead Clinician at LaserAway is essential in delivering outstanding aesthetic dermatological services across our clinics. Collaborating closely with the Location Director, Medical Regional Supervisor, and other leadership members, the Lead Clinician ensures that all clinicians are proficient in the services offered at LaserAway. Together with the Location Director, they cultivate a vibrant and positive atmosphere in each clinic.
The Lead Clinician exemplifies superior patient care and serves as a role model for fellow clinicians.
They uphold high standards for exceptional customer service and patient care.
In partnership with the remote medical team, they promptly address patient concerns.
Team Morale and Collaboration
Working alongside the Location Director, the Lead Clinician promotes a strong relationship between medical and sales/management teams.
They routinely assess clinic morale by collecting feedback and engaging in transparent communication with staff.
Regular meetings with the Human Resources Business Partner are held to discuss clinic morale and identify improvement areas.
Understanding that patient schedules can be demanding, the Lead Clinician ensures that in-clinic teams collaborate effectively to deliver exceptional treatments and customer service, even during peak times.
Weekly discussions with the Location Director focus on Key Performance Indicators, including:
- Total revenue and revenue per service type.
- Same store sales growth.
Clinical Management
The Lead Clinician partners with the Location Director to ensure the team is accountable for room turnover, organization of clinical supplies, accurate inventory management, and optimized clinic operations.
They maintain a positive attitude and assist sales teams with upselling.
Monitoring adverse reactions and ensuring consistent patient follow-up until care is complete is a key responsibility.
They manage inventory discrepancies and closely monitor clinician utilization and staffing requirements.
In collaboration with the Location Director, they participate in interviewing clinician candidates.
Handling patient satisfaction and follow-ups regarding concerns is essential.
They oversee repair requests for their location and coordinate with the regional laser engineer for machine maintenance.
Training and Development
In partnership with the Regional Training Team and Scheduling Team, the Lead Clinician ensures all clinicians in their clinic complete necessary training.
Willingness to travel to other clinics for training support within their region is expected.
They identify training needs and communicate these to the regional supervisor.
Essential Qualifications:
A minimum of an Associate's degree is required, with a Bachelor's or advanced degree preferred.
A valid certification or license as a Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP), or Physician Assistant (PA) in the applicable state(s) is mandatory.
At least one year of experience in aesthetic dermatology or charge nurse experience is preferred.
Strong understanding of medical aesthetics treatments and protocols is essential.
Demonstrated leadership and team-building capabilities, with the ability to motivate and inspire colleagues.
Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills in a dynamic environment.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
Proficiency in Google Suite and familiarity with clinic management software is required.
Weekend availability is necessary.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
Ability to coordinate eye-hand-foot movements while operating aesthetic devices and administering injectables.
Capability to perceive and differentiate colors accurately.
Must be able to bend, sit, stand, and walk independently.
Ability to remain stationary for approximately 50% of the time, which may involve sitting or standing.
Can hold laser and device handpieces weighing up to 1.5 pounds for extended periods.
Ability to lift equipment weighing up to 8 pounds.
Primarily works in air-conditioned treatment rooms with occasional background noise.
Comfortable wearing protective eyewear for extended periods and tolerating flashing lights.
Frequently moves devices on wheels across short distances, requiring a pushing and pulling force of up to 35 pounds.
Compensation: The hourly rate is $65, with an additional weekend differential of $5 for shifts on Saturdays and Sundays.
