Reporting to: Regional Manager or Medical Vice President

Position Overview:

The Lead Clinician at LaserAway is crucial in delivering outstanding aesthetic dermatological services across our clinics. Collaborating closely with the Location Director, Medical Regional Supervisor, and other leadership members, the Lead Clinician ensures that all clinicians are proficient in the services offered at LaserAway. Together with the Location Director, the Lead Clinician fosters a vibrant and dynamic atmosphere in each clinic.

The Lead Clinician exemplifies superior patient care and sets a benchmark for fellow clinicians.

Demonstrating a commitment to exceptional customer service and patient care is essential.

Collaborates with the remote medical team to address patient concerns promptly.

Team Morale and Collaboration

Partners with the Location Director to cultivate a positive relationship between medical and sales/management teams.

Regularly assesses clinic morale through feedback and open communication with staff.

The Lead Clinician and Location Director hold regular meetings with the Human Resources Business Partner to review clinic morale and identify improvement areas.

Recognizes the demands of a busy patient schedule and encourages teamwork to deliver exceptional treatments and service.

Meets weekly with the Location Director to review Key Performance Indicators, including:

• Overall revenue and revenue per service type.
• Same store sales growth.

Clinical Operations

Works alongside the Location Director to ensure the team is accountable for room turnover, organization of clinical supplies, accurate inventory management, and optimized clinic flow.

Maintains a positive attitude and assists sales teams with upselling.

Monitors adverse reactions and ensures regular follow-ups with patients until care is completed.

Addresses inventory discrepancies.

Maintains awareness of clinician utilization and staffing requirements.

Collaborates with the Location Director in interviewing clinician candidates.

Handles patient satisfaction and follow-ups on patient concerns.

Monitors repair requests for their location and collaborates with the regional laser engineer for machine maintenance.

Training Responsibilities

Works with the Regional Training Team and Scheduling Team to complete training for all clinicians in their clinic.

Willingness to travel to other clinics for training support within the region.

Identifies training needs and communicates them to the regional supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate's degree required; Bachelor's or advanced degree preferred.

Valid certification or license as a Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP), or Physician Assistant (PA) in the relevant state(s).

Preferably one year of experience in aesthetic dermatology or charge nurse experience.

Strong understanding of medical aesthetics treatments and protocols.

Excellent leadership and team-building capabilities, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.

Problem-solving and decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment.

Strong organizational abilities and effective management of multiple priorities.

Proficient in Google Suite and familiar with clinic management software.

Weekend availability is required.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:

Proficient coordination when operating aesthetic devices and administering injectables.

Ability to perceive and differentiate colors effectively.

Capable of bending, sitting, standing, and walking without assistance.

Ability to remain stationary for approximately 50% of the time, which may involve sitting or standing.

Can hold laser and device handpieces weighing up to 1.5 pounds for extended periods.

Can lift equipment up to 8 pounds.

Primarily works in air-conditioned treatment rooms with occasional noise.

Comfortable wearing protective eyewear for extended periods and tolerating flashing lights.

Frequently moves devices on wheels across short distances, requiring a pushing and pulling force of up to 35 pounds.

Compensation: Hourly rate is $65/hr with a weekend differential of $5/hr for Saturday and Sunday shifts.
