The Role

As a Senior Account Director at Lumen, you will oversee business development initiatives for high-profile accounts and/or specific market segments, driving the expansion and growth of new business opportunities. You will be responsible for coordinating strategies for assigned key accounts and developing and implementing comprehensive account plans.

Main Responsibilities

- Identify, bid on, negotiate, and close new sales opportunities to meet and exceed established sales and revenue targets.
- Develop detailed account plans and strategies to secure new business from both new and existing clients.
- Strengthen and deepen relationships with current customers to enhance strategic positioning and retain existing revenue while pursuing additional business.
- Provide insights to sales management regarding trends and changes within customer organizations, recommending future actions to improve company positioning.
- Maintain an accurate and detailed weekly forecast of identified and proposed opportunities to meet or exceed sales quotas.
- Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of the company's entire product suite, with potential in-depth expertise in specific products and/or services.
- Manage account responsibilities, including solution creation, offering configuration, order issuance, service delivery, service management, and revenue recognition.
- Exhibit a balance of strategic and tactical leadership.

Candidate Requirements

Essential:
- A minimum of 10 years of sales experience in the technology or telecommunications sector.
- In-depth knowledge of the competitive landscape within the telecom industry.
- Strong communication, writing, and formal presentation skills, with proven proficiency in closing sales.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven, capable of working with minimal supervision.

Proficient in MS Office:
- Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Willingness to spend at least 50% of work time on sales activities outside of the office.

Compensation

The starting salary for this position varies based on the employee's primary work location. Compensation typically does not begin at the top of the range, as it is dependent on individual qualifications.

Location-Based Pay Ranges

$118,130 - $157,500 in specified states.

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Individual pay is influenced by experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs.
