Reports To: Young Adult Program Director

Position Summary:

The Young Adult Program Associate plays a vital role in enhancing the engagement and retention of our Young Adult Network. This position is responsible for overseeing the Delegation Leaders Program and spearheading recruitment initiatives across various regions. The Delegation Leaders Program involves collaborating with a group of young adults to mobilize participants for significant advocacy events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead recruitment efforts for all Young Adult Programs.
  • Oversee and manage the Delegation Leaders Program, ensuring alignment with program objectives and effective communication.
  • Execute outreach strategies to connect with young adults nationwide through educational institutions and community organizations.
  • Develop and disseminate written communications, including emails and blog posts, to engage our Young Adult Network.
  • Maintain and nurture relationships within the Young Adult Program through consistent follow-up.
  • Support the organization of key advocacy events, serving as a liaison with stakeholders and providing necessary administrative assistance.
  • Facilitate post-event actions following major gatherings.
  • Provide administrative support to the Advocacy Corps Program as required.
  • Assist in planning the Washington Summer Intensive.
  • Coordinate outreach and travel arrangements for Young Adult Program alumni attending significant meetings.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of two years of experience in organizing, advocacy, or direct service roles (professional or volunteer).
  • Willingness to travel as necessary for program-related events and outreach.
  • Commitment to principles of anti-racism, justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion.
  • Comfortable working within Quaker environments.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic setting.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Research and analytical capabilities.

  • Familiarity with legislative processes.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.

Work Environment:

  • Regularly required to sit or stand for extended periods.
  • This role may involve occasional travel, including overnight trips.

Compensation and Work Expectations:

  • The salary range for this position is $53,000 - $58,000 annually, with final compensation dependent on the candidate's qualifications and internal equity.
  • This is a temporary, full-time non-exempt position, based on a 37.5-hour work week. Flexibility in work location is available, but attendance at in-person events is required periodically.
