Job Overview

The Center on Privacy and Technology at Georgetown Law seeks a Senior Associate to lead our programmatic work on the surveillance of immigrant communities.

The successful candidate will design and develop the Center's research and advocacy strategy, and lead our public policy and communications work in the area of immigrant surveillance.

The Senior Associate will identify new questions for scholarly and empirical study; write reports, white papers, public education materials, and media pieces for publication; develop policy proposals to limit the reach and impact of surveillance within immigrant communities; provide substantial public relations support to the Center's communications team, including fielding media inquiries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop the Center's research and advocacy strategy
  • Lead public policy and communications work in the area of immigrant surveillance
  • Identify new questions for scholarly and empirical study
  • Write reports, white papers, public education materials, and media pieces for publication
  • Develop policy proposals to limit the reach and impact of surveillance within immigrant communities
  • Provide substantial public relations support to the Center's communications team
Requirements and Qualifications

To qualify for this position, the applicant must have at least a Juris Doctor degree and at least 3 years of experience working for a law and policy research organization.

The applicant must demonstrate an interest in and commitment to public interest policy advocacy at the intersection of technology and the law.
