Position Overview

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as the primary point of contact and receptionist during peak program hours, ensuring effective supervision of the main lobby.
  • Oversee office operations, including data entry, filing, supply management, and program calendar upkeep.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and communication to families seeking information.
  • Manage sign-in and sign-out procedures for participants, visitors, consultants, and staff.
  • Collect and enter membership enrollments into the designated system.
  • Conduct regular data entry as required.
  • Ensure that all participants with current memberships are accurately recorded in the enrollment system.
  • Collaborate with program coordinators to complete academic enrichment and athletic tracking.
  • Maintain organized files for participants, volunteers, and community service hours.
  • Assist in facilitating after-school programs, meetings, and special events.
  • Support facilitation and supervision during camp seasons.
  • Attend mandatory meetings and training sessions.
  • Approve and submit timecards at the conclusion of each pay period.
  • Ensure compliance with all mandatory clearances, tests, and training requirements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Associate degree preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 0-2 years of relevant work experience in a related field; relevant internships may be considered as experience.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other necessary databases.
  • Willingness to work independently and collaboratively, with a readiness to take on additional responsibilities.
  • A positive attitude and genuine interest in providing quality services to youth.
  • Availability for occasional evening and weekend work.
  • Completion of criminal and child abuse/neglect clearances.
  • Flexible, energetic, and positive individual committed to youth development in a respectful environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with culturally diverse populations.
  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination is required for all employees.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This position is primarily sedentary, requiring the ability to speak, hear, see, and lift small objects weighing up to 10 lbs. Occasional local and/or regional travel may be necessary.
