The Head of Youth Services will be responsible for ensuring that the organization delivers exceptional mental health and substance use treatment services to young individuals and their families. Reporting directly to the Chief Program Officer, the Head of Youth Services will significantly contribute to the enhancement of both clinical and administrative operations essential for expanding the organization's influence as a certified provider of behavioral health services. As a vital member of the leadership team, this individual will serve as a strategic partner to senior management.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the Youth Services Department, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Participate actively in leadership meetings to drive strategic initiatives.
- Maintain necessary certifications and accreditations for the department.
- Develop and manage the departmental budget effectively.
- Establish and uphold partnerships with relevant organizations and stakeholders.
- Represent the organization in external meetings with various community and governmental entities.
Grants and Data Management
- Collaborate with the grants and data team to create compelling proposals for funding opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with all contractual obligations related to funding and outcomes.
- Champion a data-driven culture within the organization, facilitating effective communication regarding data management.
- Monitor data entry processes and enforce adherence to data policies.
- Utilize data insights to refine programs and assess the need for new initiatives.
Operational Leadership
- Lead and drive results for both office and community-based programs.
- Oversee the management of electronic health records and collaborate with billing specialists.
- Work closely with supervisors to monitor staff performance and productivity.
- Implement policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
- Manage reporting obligations to various stakeholders.
- Provide training on relevant assessment tools to new staff members.
Team Development
- Supervise a diverse team, providing guidance and support to clinical supervisors.
- Ensure that all staff receive appropriate training and development opportunities.
- Set performance goals and conduct evaluations for team members.
- Mentor staff using a collaborative approach to foster professional growth.
Work Environment
- The role is dynamic and fast-paced, requiring adaptability.
- Travel may be necessary to various organizational sites.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in social work, counseling, or a related field.
- Active clinical license to practice in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Minimum of five years of experience in clinical service provision and supervision.
- Experience in program development and implementation is essential.
