Clinical Program Supervisor

The Clinical Supervisor plays a vital role in overseeing the clinical collaboration at LAYC, ensuring the delivery of Mental Health treatment, prevention, and early intervention services across multiple educational institutions. This position is responsible for maintaining the quality of treatment services in accordance with established standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide weekly direct supervision to a team of School-Based Clinicians and support staff through individual and group sessions, ensuring effective treatment for all enrolled youth.
- Establish and monitor performance goals for staff, assign responsibilities, set objectives, and conduct annual performance evaluations.
- Foster productive partnerships with school personnel, including Behavioral Health Coordinators and Principals, to support clinicians in identifying needs and enhancing workflows.
- Assist staff in crisis intervention and be available for emergencies outside of regular business hours.
- Oversee documentation processes by reviewing and approving essential clinical documents.
- Deliver direct prevention and therapeutic services to clients and their families as needed.
- Collaborate with leadership to develop and refine clinical quality improvement initiatives.
EDUCATIONAL & PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Master's degree in social work, counseling, or a related field.
- Active DC Independent Clinical Social Work License (LICSW).
- Experience in substance use disorder treatment is a plus.
- A minimum of three years of experience in providing or supervising clinical services to adolescents and young adults.
- At least two years of experience in staff supervision.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience working with diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic groups.
- Strong mentoring and coaching abilities.
- Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Familiarity with InSync and FAS Outcomes databases is advantageous.
- Knowledge of community resources and local services.
- Flexible schedule, including occasional evening availability for school events.
- Completion of criminal and child abuse/neglect clearances.
- Energetic and positive individual committed to youth development in a respectful environment.
- Ability to effectively communicate with culturally diverse populations.
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination is required for all employees.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Fast-paced workplace with required travel to various sites.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This position is primarily sedentary, requiring the ability to speak, hear, see, and lift small objects up to 10 lbs. Local and regional travel may be necessary.
