Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Youth Wellness Specialist to join our team at the Latin American Youth Center. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering wellness programs to youth, collaborating with our Food & Nutrition Program, and supporting other center activities.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse population of youth, focusing on their social, academic, and career development. As a Youth Wellness Specialist, you will lead hands-on cooking, gardening, and nutrition classes, as well as support families with pantry services and perform data entry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead cooking, nutrition, and gardening programs for youth
  • Plan and lead youth activities, including arts and athletics
  • Supervise AmeriCorps members and support their development
  • Collaborate with the Food & Nutrition Program to deliver comprehensive services
  • Support families with pantry services and provide nutrition education
  • Perform data entry and maintain accurate records
Requirements
  • Experience in youth activities and program development
  • Interest in cooking, nutrition, and urban gardening
  • Food Manager License required
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Flexible schedule and ability to work with diverse populations
