Business Development Representative

At Weedmaps, we're seeking a highly motivated Business Development Representative to join our team. As a Business Development Representative, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities in the cannabis industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market
- Develop and maintain relationships with potential clients
- Identify client needs and suggest appropriate products/services
- Present Weedmaps offerings at a high level to potential clients
- Consistent documentation of conversations with prospective customers
- Set up meetings or calls between (prospective) clients and Account Executives
- Engage Account Executives for next steps, providing detailed information for the rep and a smooth transition for the customer
- Continue to follow-up with prospects until qualification is complete
- Report to the leadership on sales results
Requirements:
- Proven work experience as a Business Development Representative, Sales Account Executive, or similar role
- Hands-on experience with multiple sales techniques (including cold calls)
- Track record of achieving sales quotas
- Experience with CRM software (e.g. Salesforce)
- Familiarity with Google Spreadsheets
- Understanding of sales performance metrics
- Excellent communication and listening skills
- Ability to deliver engaging presentations
