Job Overview:

The Position

Fidelity is on the lookout for a dedicated Agile Principal Systems Analyst to become part of a dynamic team focused on developing innovative applications centered around Student Debt. In this role, you will have the opportunity to shape and implement cutting-edge solutions that address not only functional needs but also performance, scalability, and reliability criteria. As a key member of a high-performing Scrum team, you will contribute to enhancing the user experience while taking full ownership of team objectives and actively seeking ways to support the team in achieving its goals.

Required Expertise and Skills

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, along with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Proven experience in application analysis and design, encompassing new developments, enhancements, maintenance, and support. This role necessitates ongoing collaboration with stakeholders, iterative requirement gathering, adherence to best practices, and a comprehensive understanding of the technology roadmap.
  • Proficiency in conducting root cause analysis and creatively addressing complex challenges in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in application development on public cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
  • Familiarity with Oracle PL/SQL and relational databases, as well as experience with ETL tools like Informatica.
  • Knowledge of Continuous Delivery processes and tools, preferably including GitHub, Jenkins, Stash, and Artifactory.
  • Strong communication skills to convey software engineering and development concepts effectively.
  • Capability to design, develop, and implement intricate solutions, ensuring alignment with documentation standards and understanding the significance of unit and integration tests.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with other developers and team members, including those in distributed locations.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies is essential.

The Team

The Student Debt Product Area team operates within the Emerging Technologies Chapter of Workplace Investing. This team is characterized by a passion for new technologies and a commitment to solving intricate problems. It is a collaborative environment where knowledge sharing and collective growth are encouraged. You will report to a Chapter Leader, whose primary goal is to support your professional development as we strive for enhanced automation and continuous delivery, all while delivering high-quality products to our clients.
