You will foster and maintain a progressive agile culture, while building, managing, and continuously refining the application services utilized by customer-facing representatives on a daily basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect and evaluate metrics from operating systems and applications to assist in performance optimization and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with development teams to enhance services through comprehensive testing and deployment protocols.
  • Engage in system design consulting, platform management, and capacity planning.
  • Develop sustainable systems and services through automation, balancing feature development speed and reliability with clearly defined service level objectives.
  • Create software and systems to manage infrastructure and customer-facing applications through automation.
  • Work closely with development teams to design, build, deploy, support, and monitor both new and existing services.
  • Assess and enhance service performance and availability.
  • Manage capacity planning and resource allocation.
  • Investigate and assess new technologies and solutions to advance our capabilities.

Education and Experience:

A Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent foreign education) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field, along with three (3) years of experience as a Senior Systems Engineer (or a closely related role) in configuring and developing Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) automation pipelines for Web applications using Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD/Kubernetes.

Alternatively, a Master’s degree (or equivalent foreign education) in the same fields with one (1) year of relevant experience is acceptable.

Skills and Knowledge:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Proven expertise in implementing and managing scalable, reliable, and high-performance infrastructure solutions, utilizing AWS CloudFormation or Terraform; orchestrating containerized applications using Kubernetes or Docker; and performing release management in accordance with DevOps methodologies using Jenkins, Docker, Artifactory, Ansible, or AWS functionalities.
  • Expertise in designing and maintaining automated monitoring and alerting systems using Grafana, GitLab, or CI/CD; installing and integrating Web Agents NGINX, and application servers (Tomcat) using Linux Scripts; configuring, debugging, and managing Web applications, services, and Java-based systems; building error detection monitors using Datadog, Splunk, or ELK; and ensuring early detection of issues for proactive resolution to minimize downtime using AWS CloudWatch.
  • Proficiency in scripting and programming with a focus on automating repetitive tasks and optimizing operational workflows using Python or Bash.
  • Experience utilizing automation tools and implementing CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployment processes with tools such as AWS ECS, EKS, AKS, UDeploy, or GitLab CI/CD, ensuring efficient and error-free releases.
