Position Overview:

The Opportunity

Fidelity is on the lookout for a dedicated Agile Principal Systems Analyst to become part of a pioneering team focused on developing innovative applications related to Student Debt. In this role, you will play a crucial part in shaping and implementing solutions that not only fulfill functional requirements but also address performance, scalability, and reliability needs. You will collaborate as a vital member of a high-performing Scrum team, driving the evolution of user experiences. Your role will also involve taking full ownership of team objectives and proactively seeking ways to assist the team in achieving its goals beyond your individual tasks.

Qualifications and Skills You Bring

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, coupled with over 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Proven expertise in analyzing and designing applications, including new developments, enhancements, maintenance, and support. This role necessitates ongoing collaboration with stakeholders, iterative comprehension of requirements, adherence to Fidelity’s best practices/methodologies, and a thorough understanding of the technology roadmap to enhance the design and development process.
  • Proficient in conducting root cause analysis and creatively resolving unique challenges in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience in application development on public cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
  • Familiarity with Oracle PL/SQL or relational databases, along with knowledge of ETL tools like Informatica.
  • Understanding of Continuous Delivery processes and tools (preferably GitHub, Jenkins, Stash, Artifactory, etc.).
  • Strong communication skills to convey software engineering and development concepts effectively.
  • Capability to design, develop, and implement complex solutions, ensuring alignment with documentation standards and understanding of appropriate unit and integration tests and deployment scripts.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Capacity to collaborate effectively with other developers and team members, including those in distributed settings.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies is essential.
