The Opportunity

Fidelity is on the lookout for a dedicated Agile Principal Systems Analyst to become part of a pioneering team focused on developing innovative applications related to Student Debt. In this role, you will play a crucial part in crafting and shaping cutting-edge solutions that fulfill both functional and non-functional requirements, including performance, scalability, and reliability. You will collaborate within a high-performing Scrum team to enhance the user experience for our clients. Your role will involve taking full ownership of team objectives and proactively seeking ways to assist the team in achieving its goals beyond your individual responsibilities.

Qualifications and Skills You Bring

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, complemented by over 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in analyzing and designing applications, encompassing new developments, enhancements, maintenance, and support. This role requires ongoing collaboration with stakeholders, iterative comprehension of requirements, adherence to Fidelity’s best practices and methodologies, and a thorough understanding of the technology roadmap to enhance the design and development process.
  • Capability to diagnose and execute root cause analysis while creatively addressing unique challenges in a dynamic setting.
  • Experience in application development on public cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
  • Familiarity with Oracle PL/SQL and relational databases, along with knowledge of ETL tools like Informatica.
  • Understanding of Continuous Delivery processes and tools (preferably GitHub, Jenkins, Stash, Artifactory, etc.).
  • Ability to articulate software engineering and development concepts effectively.
  • Experience in designing, developing, and implementing intricate solutions, ensuring alignment with documentation standards, and comprehending appropriate unit and integration tests and deployment scripts.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficient in collaborating with fellow developers and team members, including those in distributed environments.
  • Prior experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies is essential.
