Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8 AM - 4 PM

The Assistant Program Director at Brockton Area Multi-Services, Inc. (BAMSI) plays a crucial role in supporting the Program Director with the oversight and administration of operations within the day habilitation program. BAMSI operates multiple Day Habilitation Centers across Massachusetts, each designed to be accessible and welcoming, ensuring that individuals with diverse needs receive tailored services to achieve their personal goals.

BAMSI is a nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering change and providing equal opportunities for individuals facing developmental disabilities and mental health challenges. Founded in Brockton, Massachusetts, BAMSI has a long-standing commitment to empowering individuals through compassionate support and a variety of services.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Staff Training and Oversight:
  • Assist in onboarding and training new personnel.
  • Participate in the supervision and ongoing training of program staff.
  • Develop and oversee the daily program schedule.
  • Assess training needs for both the program and participants.
  1. Administrative Functions:
  • Support the Program Director in maintaining compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Foster strong relationships with state funding agencies, community resources, and families.
  • Identify and address program concerns promptly, seeking guidance when necessary.
  • Ensure timely completion of all required documentation.
  • Facilitate and participate in staff meetings as assigned.
  • Assist with facility maintenance issues as needed.
  • Help orient new participants to the program.
  1. Direct Service Duties:
  • Perform case management and advocacy responsibilities as assigned.
  • Support consumer-centered program development, including the identification of adaptive equipment.
  • Ensure the safe implementation of behavior management plans.
  • Uphold agency policies and procedures in all duties performed.
  • Provide physical assistance to individuals with mobility challenges as required.
  • Deliver direct services as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of two years of experience working with individuals with Acquired Brain Injury or Developmental Disabilities.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field is preferred.
  • Experience in development and behavior management is advantageous.
  • A valid driver's license in the state of residence is preferred.
